Dvd Drive Help
I HAVE GOT A FREECOM EXTERNAL DVD REWRITER, WHICH DOES NOT PLAY ANY DVDs NOR DOES IT RECOGNISE ANY BLANK DVDs, IT 1ST SAYS AN ERROR WHEN I PUT A FILM IN, IE, PROBLEM WITH DIGITAL COPYWRITE, ?? ANY BLANK I USE TO COPY ANYTHING WITH IT JUST EJECTS IT, YET IT WILL COPY ON TO AN AUDIO DISC, MUSIC AND PICS, CAN ANYONE HELP PLEASE...

if it comes up with this
PROBLEM WITH DIGITAL COPYWRITE then you are trying to illeagaly copy disks,that are disks digitally protected to stop copying

Merry Christmas - you da man! I have had a DVD playback problem for months. My Sony DVD drive just decided to quit playing. I could explore into the files and play VTS.Vob files. Cds would work and I could record DVDs onto the drive. Visiting with Sony support concluded I needed a new drive, which I bought - same result. A visit with Dell support yieded nothing. Our church's tech fixer decided I needed to reinstall Windows (too desperate for me). I queried a tech forum I was a part of - no help. So with some holiday down time (it's Christmas eve) I found this forum and used the encoder tweak tool with K-lite to fix my playback problem. A great Christmas present. Happy Holidays.
