[SOLVED] BlueScreen: No_more_stack_irp_locations

I'm encountering a reocurring problem with my laptop, which I assume to be a driver malfunction.
I recently installed a programme called Universal Document Converter and I had to replace a certain file called iasaver.dll with a file in the crack package in the path: C:\windows\system32\spool\drivers\w32x86. I uninstalled the programme lateron and after booting the screen turned blue showing an error message:
"No_more_stack_irp_locations.
Disable BIOS memory options such as caching or shadowing.
Recommending to reboot..
Technical information:
*** Stop: 0x0000035 etc.etc.
Collecting date for crash dump..
Initializing disk for crash dump.."

After every reboot (5-10 minutes later) I get this error message and my pc reboots automatically or waits for the user to reboot.
I've removed all .dll files (I think) which belonged to that programme, but I keep getting the error...
What do I do now?

Re: BlueScreen: No_more_stack_irp_locations

Is this a downloaded copy with a crack?

It could be caused by the crack replacing an important Windows system file. Uninstall UDC and any cracks/patches and run sfc /scannow.

Re: BlueScreen: No_more_stack_irp_locations

I have a hunch that that's exactly what happened....some important file's been replaced accidentally.
I uninstalled the software now.
How do I run sfc/scannow on Vista?
(Sorry, I switched to Vista now, forgot to update my profile)

Sorry, I don't use Vista. Hang on for some more replies.

It's also possible that the crack has infected your computer.

Re: BlueScreen: No_more_stack_irp_locations

Ah, damn.
Well, the crack had a .exe and an insruction file saying I needed to replace a .dll file in the drivers folder...so I guess its a driver/registry problem....
Is there no alternative to sfc scan? :S

Re: BlueScreen: No_more_stack_irp_locations

I followed the steps given on the link till

Quote:
3. Type the following command, and then press ENTER:
edit sfcdetails.txt
The following sample log file contains an entry for a file that could not be repaired:
"Log"
The terminal just showed me an empty blue screen in the terminal with no log at all :(
However, I did get the following message after the verification scan:
"Windows Resource Protection found corrupt files but was unable to fix some of them. Details are included in the CBS.Log windir\Logs\CBS\CBS.log"
But I can't access that file and continue with the steps.
Also, another weird thing is the fact that my pc's been running normally for the past 30 minutes without showing the bluescreen crash message. It can't be back to normal now, can itt???
