Monitor Driver Problem- Low Resolution
I am running Windows XP SP 2 on a Dell laptop, the video adapter is a Mobile Intel 945 GM Express Chipset Family.
I bought a Westinghouse 22" widescreen monitor so I could set up dual display. I plugged it in, etc, and everything works fine except the resolution is too low and there is no option to increase it. The monitor comes up as a "plug and play" in Graphics Properties, but I can't change the resolution higher than 1024 x 768. I'm pretty sure this is a driver problem, Westinghouse monitors don't come with drivers so I cant get any there. I updated my video adapter driver and it did work briefly (I could change the resolution to 1680 x1050) but a week later it went back to low resolution. Any help is appreciated. |
