driver troubles hooking up cellphone

I hope i found the right subforum for this, i tried looking for previous threads on this but got lost in the great amount of them...

I have troubles with my phone/memorycard when trying to hook it up to my laptop.

I installed the software for it to run (its a Sony Ericsson W800i) but whenever I plug it in now, it gives me the 'cannot establish a connection' beeps. In the meanwhile my phone starts charging itself, so according to me there's no problems or whatsoever with the cable.

I uninstalled all my drivers and restarted my computer, but it still gives the same troubles. I have no troubles with plugging in other USB devices as webcam or mass storage devices.

Anyone who can help me on this? Thanks so much in advance!

Hi, Welcome to the forum.
I am not an expert on this, but at this link it gives you an application program and a driver for your cellphone:

Install the driver first then install the application.
