need drivers

Hi everyone, Have major problem. I was given computer by former teacher it worked good then my daughter updated it to windows xp home edition now the sound doesnt work had dial up but now got comcast because need it for college classes online but tech says need missing drivers installed before it will work. I have a Dell Dimension 2350 bios Phoneix-Award Bios v6.OOPG says chipset is Intel 2560 rev3 Bios date 2003.03.24 bios id-i845G-Lpc47M1-6A69VM3EC-00. Dell support says i need drivers 10/100 Integrated network and ADI 1885 integrated audio but i cant find them. Former owner does not have original disc any longer. Any help please most appreciated class starts monday. Collegemom

go to the dell site enter your model number and then look in the download section

already did that and the drivers they told me to download still didn't work they dont even show being installed and I keep getting this message install shield engine (ikernel.exe ) could not be installed the system cannot find the file specified. I'm not very techy and am totally lost here
