[resolved]WinXP Stop Error Message
Hello all.Im having a bit of an issue with a PC I just built and was hoping someone in here could help me out and I thank everyone in advance. The PC restarts at random,I see a quick flash of the blue screen and the PC restarts, after the reboot I send the Error report and the info I get back is Windows Stop Error,A Device Driver Has Caused The Problem.I have updated all the drivers and I am still having the issue. The only thing I have done is overclock the CPU,I set it back to default and the issue is still there.I am Running Duel Videocards SLI mode, tried running a single card,no luck.Another thing The PC boots up very slow It hangs on the Motherboard Logo screen for at least a minute +,goes to blank black screen with little flashing line in upper left corner, hangs there another 30 sec or so,then finally to the windows screen and from there is very quick.Any help anyone could offer would be greatly appreciated....Thanx again in advance.

Re: WinXP Stop Error Message
Hello again,I dont know if this makes a difference but the stop error seems to occur while im backing up DVDs with DVD shrink,I was backing up DVDs lastnight and it happen 3 times inside of a half hour,it has been a few weeks since I have been doing any backing up of DVDs and the problem didnt occur. It has done it when not copying dvds but it seems to do it more so when I am.This Mobo only has one IDE connector and I have the HD and CD rom running on the same IDE,at first I had the jumper settings wrong but that was only causing a very slow boot, but I have fixed that, not sure if this would have anything to do with it but thought I would throw it out there cause ya never know.Hope this bit of info is more helpful and again I cant thank you eneough for your help.....Thanks again.

Re: WinXP Stop Error Message
cannot match up the code the AC seems to relate to a pci card causing the problem
reseat any you have try it by removing one at a time to see if the error disappears run memtest on the ram one stick at a time http://www.memtest86.com/ i use asus boards and never had a problem with them
