ati catalyst 7.4 control centre, lcd screen (or maybe video card) problem
i downloaded the Catalyst Software Suite (version 7.4) from the ATI website and tried to install it after uninstall the previous version.
I got past the driver installation. and then when it tried to configure for the control centre, it just doesn't move. Further more i try to restart computer, it won't do so. After a hard boot, i notice the resolution is better however i have a new problem. It's hard to explain but ill try my best. There is this 2.5-3.0 cm band of darker text straight down my monitor. no matter how i try to adjust the monitor's sharpness or fine or coarse adjustments, it still doesn't go away. it just shifts the band across the screen to a different location Here's a picture EDIT: it doesn't show up on the screenshot image. now, what does that mean? (im guessing it's the monitor's problem) I do not know if its a video card problem or a monitor driver's problem. I'm using samsung syncmaster 701n and radeon x1300 video card. any suggestions are greatly appreciated. Last edited by deeplove; 05-22-2007 at 07:40 PM. |
