(resolved)Formatted HDD lost all drivers
I was able to find some but not my video and sound drivers. now everytime i boot the machine i get a no sound control and no sound device when i play audio. I updated w/ service pack 2 and fix #888111 which was supposed to fix my sound problem but that was a no go. how can i find the components installed and which drivers i need? i saw a nvidia go7400 chip in there but the nvidia driver setup says theres no drivers for my hardware.
My laptop is a Quanta TW3A and it doesn't come with a drivers cd. this is my system from belarc: Operating System System Model Windows XP Professional Service Pack 2 (build 2600) Intel Corporation Calistoga & ICH7M Chipset System Serial Number: TW3TFCCLA629008B Enclosure Type: Other Processor a Main Circuit Board b 1.85 gigahertz Intel Core Duo 64 kilobyte primary memory cache 2048 kilobyte secondary memory cache Board: Intel Corporation MPAD-MSAE Customer Reference Boards Serial Number: QTFBLA62801625 BIOS: Phoenix Technologies LTD Q3B44 05/17/2006 |

Re: Formatted HDD lost all drivers
Hi,
Does this look like your laptop? If so, here are the drivers you are looking for....install the Intel® Chipset Software Installation Utility driver 1st as that will configure all your other drivers....make sure you reboot before installing audio and graphics drivers: http://downloadfinder.intel.com/scri...bmit=Go%21#DRV |

Try Everest in my Sig, it's much better IMHO and run it, in the summary click on the highlighted info by each device and you will be able to click the link that opens to take you to the driver page for that item, then use the info it shows to navigate to what you need, if your still stuck save the report from everest and upload it here and we can help more once we know what you have.
*edit Oops, thats what happens when the wife distracts you when your typing lol, you beat me to it. Last edited by 8210GUY; 05-15-2007 at 02:42 PM. Reason: Update |
