If I re-format my XP system... [RESOLVED]

....will all the hardware retain their drivers? If not, where can I find all my current drivers in order to create copies of them?

Thanks :)

Re: If I re-format my XP system...

Hello,

You can use any application that offer such a service of making a backup of your drivers namely "Driver Magician"
you can also reinstall them using same application when you have an unexpected matter with you drivers, thats all, hope you be satisfied
There are many of such application and the above mentioned is one of them.
you can google it and download it.

That's all.

Why are you reformating? A repair install of XP will keep your drivers, data and programs intact and fix most problems.

Re: If I re-format my XP system...

Got this sorted guys, used a program to transfer the drivers across. Thanks. :)

P.S. I'm re-formatting because I'm selling the PC to a friend so I want it good as new.

Re: If I re-format my XP system... [RESOLVED]

I purchased an Epson Stylus RX580 4 in 1 and when I attempted to install it on my Dell 2400 coumputer, I failed to un-plug the USB2.0 from the back of the computer. A no no, I was to discover.

I returned the Epson RX580 and received a new one. I then removed or un-installed every trace of the first Epson 4 in 1 and then installed the second printer. I keep being told that THE COMPUTER CAN FIND NO USB DRIVERS on my system.

Can anyone out there tell me what I need to do or have done to get this resolved? I do not want to erase everything and start over as I have close to 3 years of my old family history and many, many very old family photos stored on this machine.

Help!!
