[resolved]Re: DVD ROM DRIVE
For some time now I've been getting the message 'you have files ready to be
written to CD/DVD', yet every time I put a disc, be it DVD-R, DVD+R+W, ETC., into my drive I get the message 'no disc in drive. My D drive is a Matshita DVD/ CDRW UJDA770 and it seems I tried everything, well obviously not everything. I'm hoping someone can help and solve this problem for me. I've tried Nero, CDBurnerXP,FinalBurner and some other, but alas, the problem still persist. I greatly appreciate any help I can get. thank you Last edited by BeBeau; 05-01-2007 at 04:52 AM. |

Re: DVD ROM DRIVE
Hi, Bebeau again. Re: DVD drive. Thanks for the help, it was greatly appreciated.
However, the problem still persist. I don't remember if I mentioned it in my earlier post or not, but whenever I put a blank DVD+RW disc into the drive in an attempt to burn or what have you, it fails to boot, yet all other disc, regular DVD's, etc., play fine. This conumdrum is wearing me out. Help please!! Last edited by BeBeau; 05-01-2007 at 09:49 PM. |

Re: DVD ROM DRIVE
Bebeau here, thanks for your help. Yes, I have tried different disc brands and
I've also tried updating my drive and all I received for my efforts was this message 'the version of the installed software is out of update scope. Check that an updateable version is installed. As for formatting my disc, the drive doesn't boot-up when I put the disc in (DVD+RW). Again, thanks. |

Re: DVD ROM DRIVE
Thank you Terrister. The information was greatly appreciated. I'd like to know
if it's at all possible that I can download another drive with DVD burning capabilities? Also, what can I do to speed-up communication while viewing past episodes on CBS's innertube. Lately when I look at past episodes it keeps stopping every two minutes or so to communicate. Yeah, I know, It's just one problem after the other with me (smile). Anyway, thanks again. |

Re: DVD ROM DRIVE
i completely missed it was not a dvd burner
no you have to buy a dvdrw drive,it is a dvd laser in the drive that does the burning, not software like this http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16827106055

Re: DVD ROM DRIVE
Another very good site to buy hardware for PC's is http://www.performance-pcs.com/ I bought every single part for my PC from them, immediate shipment, great prices, NewEgg gave me trouble, but your experience may differ.
