Sony Cd-rw/dvd-rom Crx320ae

When I attempt to burn any type of file on a CD using my CD-RW/DVD-ROM burner, I get an error message that says, " There is no disc in the drive. Please insert a writable disc in the drive." I never had any problems with burning files onto CD until about 3-4 months ago. What should I do to fix this problem?

Is the drive showing up in my computer?

Have you tried to click " add hardware" in control panel?
