Hey everyone, I finally found an easy way(at least for me) to update drivers...I did it using the Windows Update website. Unfortunately, this meant using IE...lol...anyway, so I went there, clicked on "Find Hardware Support" which sent me to the HP technical support website. A map came up, and I clicked on North America, then it gave me the option of
Canada (English) Canada (French) or United States (English) I chose the US This sent me to the "Suppport and Drivers" page, there I had it "Automatically detect names and numbers" this installed a detection tool which detected what model my computer was, then I clicked "Software and Driver Downloads" on the page that came up, selected Windows XP as my operating system on the next page, and BAM....there are all the drivers for my computer... I picked the ones i needed, and had it Download and Install them automatically, the only bad side is that after downloading some of them you have to restart, so if you have to download several drivers it might be a good idea to bookmark that driver page, so you can go straight back to it...Hope this helps some people out. |
