Need Drivers for nVidia GeForce2 Pro

Hi I am trying to get an older computer going for kids to play older games on and have formatted the drive and now realise I don't have the install disk for the graphics card. would anyone know where I can find drivers for this card, it's the 32mg card if that helps. I have searched the net but can't find the right ones. Thanks I forgot to mention I'm running Win98 se on the machine,

Thankyou but I downloaded the supposed right drivers from that site but they are the wrong ones. When I try to install them a message comes up can't find Nvidia chipset or something like that. I even pulled the card out to make sure I had the right specs.

My System

http://www.nvidia.com/object/win9x_archive.html

Go there and try the 77.72 version, if you were trying the 80's version they won't work

Thankyou for that :) I went back to NVidia and downloaded the 66.94 but when I test the graphics thru DXDiag it does weird things. The test with the bouncing black box hd two boxes one distorted first time. The 3D just doesn't work at all now. I retried and the full screen bouncing box is working, nothing else. What The?? lol

Maybe it's because I loaded them over the other drivers?? Should I have uninstalled the othere first do you think?

Yes, you need to unistall the old drivers before installing the new to prevent conflicts.

Go to Control Panel > Add/Remove Programs and remove any nvidia entries (drivers and nvidia control panel software). Reboot into VGA mode (tap F8 while the system is starting, and select VGA Mode from the list). Disable antivirus, install the new drivers and DirectX, then reboot.

Run dxdiag again to make sure it passes the tests.

Thanks for your replies. I'm sorry I took a couple of days I didn't realise I had any. I'll try reinstalling the way you have directed and see how I go. Dai I couldn't work out if they were the right drivers and which ones I should download. I'm a bit rusty on my Chinese :) I'll try to do what Koala said first. thanks again.

It didn't work. I've missed something somewhere. Do the cards have installation software when you first get them that maybe I don't have? The drivers seem to be the right ones but the direct draw and Direct 3d are not working. I'm starting to panic here.

The software that comes on CD with a new card is just drivers, and more recent versions can be downloaded from their website.

Forceware 71.84 (release 70) is the latest driver compatible with the GeForce2 Pro. Uninstall the current drivers as before, then reboot and keep tapping F8 until a menu appears. Select VGA mode and then install the Forceware driver. Reboot and install DirectX 9.0c

I do have directx 9.0. Maybe it's win 98. I should have left xp on the computer I think. I'll try those drivers. Thankyou :)
