my dvd rom doesn't see and burn blank disk

Hello,

I have xp on my computer. My Asus DRW 1608P does work properly but only it doesn't see and burn blank disk. when I put blank disk it says "please insert a disk into drive E"
I have nero startsmart burning software and Roxio Easy CD Creator is NOT installed on my computer.
I did re-install xp and remove nero and install sonic, because of this problem, but I still have this problem.

Do you think there is any solition?

Hello

I used "guided help" but it gives error, "resolve cd acces problem" and manually I just can't do it. I don't know what "Regedt32.exe"

Again hi,

Oooooh, ok. Now its fine, but
I just went to that direction "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Class\{4D36E965-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318}"
and I tried to delete this file. it didn't delete, than I felt I'm doing something wrong about "locate the upper and lower filters".
I didn't really understand to locate what? Something like, click right copy something inside that file?

I think now I understand that I should delete the upper and lower filters from the

"HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Class\{4D36E965-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318}"

but there are no those files in that location.

do you recommend something different?

in the device manager uninstall the drive
reboot and then check it

Hi,

I did, but unfortunately it doesn't work.
Strange thing is, when I put a full disk into the drive, in auto play there are still as a option, type of contents from nero, even though I uninstall the software.
And When I put a unused new blank disk, it worked.
Does it say something to you?
