Microsoft v OEM drivers

Hi,
Following a major system crash, I've had to reinstall Windows XP. I'm using a CTX PR960F monitor but the installation used a Microsoft default driver. The original CTX driver is dated 2001. I checked on the Chuntex website and the latest driver is for Windows '98. Would I be better staying with the Windows driver. My monitor seems to be working OK.
