CD Drive Driver Corrupted
Hey guys,
I own a Samsung CDRW/DVD drive, model SM-352B, that has worked well for more than two years now. However, as of this week it is no longer registering CD's. On device manager it comes up with a flag that says "Windows cannot load the device driver for this hardware. The driver may be corrupted or missing. (Code 39)" I have attempted uninstalling and reinstalling through device manager to no avail. I downloaded the latest firmware for it off the samsung site and that gives me a .exe to update the drivers, however, when I try to execute the program it just says "Drive not found." I'm at a loss on how to fix this and would really appreciate some help. Any ideas would be a big help. |

Hi,
Take the cables off, boot up, then go into the device manager and DELETE the drive. Shut down, then put the cables back on, reboot and let it find the drive. Install the drivers and away it should go. Post back with results.
