pci multimedia audio & communication device

from the reading i have done tonight, i think i have been looking in the wrong places. however, while online i thought i would post this bit of information.

in both win98 and win2000, after formating i could not get the pci multimedia and communication devices working. i would get a "code=28 (0x1c)". i have a motherboard cd but did not think it had any type of drivers on it. that i might need. i will try that cd in the morning.

still would like any help that can be given.

Yep run the motherboard cd and install the sound drivers, in fact install all the drivers seeing as you formatted
