Yellow Exclam... Next To Dvd Rom @ Device Manager

ITS DELL E-1505, IDE\CDROM_NEC_DVD+-RW_ND-6650A

PROPERTY WINDOW IT SAYS
"Windows cannot load the device driver for this hardware. The driver may be corrupted or missing. (Code 39) "

I UNINSTALL THE DRIVE AND REINSTALL IT STILL SAME PROBLEM

ON THIS SITE NEC DVD Firmware Updates & FAQs
IT SAYS FOR WIN SP SP2 YOU DONT NEED DRIVER. AND IT DOESN'T HAVE THE ND-6650A DRIVER OPTION. I TALK TO DEEL SUPPORT, THEY TOLD ME TO FIX THE REGISTRY !!!!!. I DONT KNOW ABOUT REGISTRY. LET ME KNOW WHAT ELSE I CAN DO.

Before messing around with the registry, I'd simply try a system restore, if you have it enabled. Go back to the most recent date you have that the drive was working properly. If that's not an option, post back.

I Cant Restore At This Time. I Added Losts Of Data. I Cant Afford To Loose Them. Is There Any Way To Fix.

see if this applies
CD-ROM access is missing and messages cite error code 31, code 32, code 19, code 39, or code 41 after you remove Easy CD Creator in Windows XP
