missing audio drivers

Hi Team , I installed a new version of xp after the message this is an ilegal copy appeared. In the process I formatted the harddrive to nt and lost my audio drivers how can I purchase new drivers or install them my computer is D400P soho , any help would be well apreciated. Hi,

If you don't know the make and model number of your motherboard, then run Everest under my signature area and look in the Multimedia area for the kind of sound system that is on your motherboard. It is always nice to know the kind of motherboard also with the model number. Everest will tell you all of that and more.

Then, when we have more information, we can point you to drivers that are normally free to download.

Post back with quesions/concerns.

If you go to the computer manufactuers or motherboards website they should be avalible for free

Aha, payback time at last. You have been working nights while I sleep getting your typing skill to where I normally can't beat you. However, the night before last, I couldn't sleep so practiced all night....and, gotcha this time. Only kidding, hope everything is going well for you Doby.

Im still trying to figure out how to get my sound back on my computer, and I downloaded that my computer is a compaq presario

You said something about a motherboard.

My motherboard ID is 06/09/2004-KM400-8237-66LYA0EC-00
My motherboard Name is Asus A7V8X-LA (Kelut)

What is the model number of your compaq preserio, if I have that I will look at hp.com for the drivers.
