hot gluing question

I just Dremeled a hole in the plastic front of my case and want to mount a small toggle switch I removed from a metal PCI back plate. I don't have a drill bit small enough for the screw hole and I'm too lazy to buy one today. Will hot glue be secure enough to hold it to the plastic? And do I have to score or sand the plastic first?

make sure you sand it. i would perosnally use super glue, but hot glue might work. just make sure that it is sturdy enough

try super glue first that stuff sticks too good. sometimes specific plastics dont stick if thats the case use hot glue

I never thought of super glue and I think I will try it. Hopefully I will be able to remove it in the future if I want to. Thanks guys.

I'm sure nobody cares but believe it or not I've never used Superglue for something like this. I'm glad I got it straight the first time cause it bonded instantly! I'm sure that would hold better than hot glue. I just assumed hot glue is what you use cause it's all over the LEDs and switches.

next time you might take a paper clip, and heat it with a candle and melt a hole for the screw to thread into.

sometimes it takes a larger peice of wire, like coathangers.
