Does a Sound Reducing case Exist?
I have a processor in my computer that delivers extra energy to the fan when it is in heavy use. As a result the computer can get pretty loud even though the fan is not broken and is pretty much new.
I also decided to add a 120mm fan making it that much louder. The case I have now has very thin metal and plastic. It looks like a great gaming case, but I'd rather have a silent one. Are there any sound reducing cases? Can I modify my own case? Thanks Last edited by U2XS; 05-03-2007 at 12:16 PM. |

Re: Does a Sound Reducing case Exist?
Well, as the case needs ventalation, no. I doubt it. It wouldn't be so good for heat, and therefore just be louder.
Clean out the case from dust, so it doesn't act like insulation, and what would be good to invest in, is some silent, but powerful fans (look at reviews for them first to be sure of this). |

Re: Does a Sound Reducing case Exist?
Hmm, I see your point. Some how I thought that all fans were pretty much created equal since its such a simple instrument. But I guess it stands to reason that some would be better/quieter than others. I'll look into it - thanks
