Iam about to build my self a HTPC
i want to stick to dual core the system will be used for viewing storeing movies and also for mp3s. I want to be able to stream media and still use the pc. Will this config be OK or are there other options i should consider ![]() I want the system to be as quite as possible and the budget is £800 max. This would be a better choice for the PSU:
http://www.ebuyer.com/product/132563 It can actually deliver more useful power than the CM 600W because it has 52A on the +12V rail. The Silent Pro 600W also has some voltage issues, so the Corsair would be a better choice, plus cheaper! If this is an HTPC you can cut the graphics card to something like this: http://www.ebuyer.com/product/153088 The RAM you've chosen is triple channel, meant for i7 setups, and is probably incompatible with the mobo you've chosen. Try something like this: http://www.ebuyer.com/product/166995 Otherwise looks good.

I have looked at your suggetions if i use your recomendation i could save abou £100 :) the only concern i have is the PSU are these silent or just about silent. Thanks andyt1 |
