[SOLVED] First gaming computer-budget
I am thinking about diving into building a computer. My budget is $700 and I need an os. I have a keyboard, monitor, and mouse. I plan on trying to play star wars the force unleashed and star wars battlefront 2. See http://www.pcgameshardware.com/aid,6...ecessary/News/ and http://starwarsbattlefront.filefront...emRequirements for system requirments. Windows 7 is preferable. I never have built one yet so any tips would be appreciated. Thank you.

This is a start for a rough idea: http://www.pcper.com/hwlb.php?guide4=y#guide4
Grab Windows 7 Home Premium OEM, x86 or x64 is up to you both are priced the same on Newegg. Add a case and optical drive of your choice and it should be around $700 give or take. |

Re: First gaming computer-budget
OR
Drop the CPU cooler from the $800 build, reuse your old hard drive and DVD drive, and so only spend about $680 that way.

Re: First gaming computer-budget
Or go with the $650 build here:
$650 gaming build There's an Intel version and if you scroll down some substitutions to make it AMD. To bring it up to a full $700 replace the 4670 with a Radeon 4770 or 4850.
