Want to build Gaming Rig

At the end of the winter I am going to try and build a new gaming rig.
I am going to have $300-$400 to spend all I want to do is buy a new case, motherboard and processor (If you get a motherboard without a processor already put in is it hard to put one in, this is my first time building a computer.) I am just going to use my video card, hard drive, and psu from my old rig.

Re: Want to build Gaming Rig

The processor is a fairly simple install.
What is your PC mainly used for?
Brand Name & Model Number of your video card and power supply?
