Help a learner upgrade please. 400-500 USD Budget.

Right, so, my computer, isn't good. I kind of need some help, since, I'm completely clueless when it comes all these damned numbers. So here are my specs. Also, it's a bought Compaq with just a few custom things. Sorry, I was young and stupid.

Processor:
AMD Athlon(tm) 64 Processor 3400+, MMX, 3DNow, ~2.2GHz S939
Memory:
2046MB RAM DDR1
Hard Drive:
Two 160GB HD's (IDE)
Video Card:
VisionTek ATi Radeon 4850 HD 512 MB PCIe 16x
Sound Card:
Realtek HD Audio Rear Output
Operating System:
Windows XP Home Edition Service Pack 3
Motherboard:
Asus A8N-LA 1 Socket 939 D:
Computer Case:
The Compaq Presario Case with the Greenlight. :v

I basically need to upgrade everything me thinks. Except the GPU that is.

I mostly play FPS games.

I think, I would kind of like having 4 Gigs of RAM and atleast 400 GBs of HD Space. If it will fit the budget that is.

Also, something that can play Crysis at 20 FPS maxed.

But seriously, that would be nice.

So yea, if you could also help me out on the little things like Disk Drives and Fans that would be fantastic!

Thanks a bunch!

Upgrading OEM PC's is not very feasible and certainly not cost effective. Read this thread for some ideas for a new build.

Re: Help a learner upgrade please. 400-500 USD Budget.

The OCZ PSU will not be sufficient for the 4850 GPU. It requires a minimum 450W.
A 650W Seasonic or Corsair would be a better choice.
