Is this computer good?
This is the computer i intend to buy, and wanted to know if it is good.
I Don't play lots of high end games but i play World Of Warcraft, Left4Dead, CoD4 and CoD: Modern Warfare 2 when it comes out. i may play a few more but they are not really that high end. I just want to know if there are any major problems with this setup before i buy it. Processor - Intel Core 2 Duo E8400 (3.00GHz). Motherboard - Asrock G31M-S PSU - Standard 650W (I Don't know the brand) RAM - 4GB (2x2GB) crucial PC6400 800MHz DDR2 Graphics Card - ATI HD4890 1GB OS - Windows 7 Thank You. Re: Is this computer good?
The Asrock motherboard is kind of iffy, but it'll work. I would figure out what brand the PSU is and come back here, you may need to replace it if it's a cheap-o. Otherwise looks good.
Where are you getting this from, and how much are you paying?

Re: Is this computer good?
A CoolerMaster 460W won't run that build. It needs a quality 650W to run properly. Something a Corsair TX650W.

Re: Is this computer good?
The PSU is one of the most important parts of the computer, and it's the part everyone skimps on.

Re: Is this computer good?
I wouldn't use it.
According to that site the Xilence adds 60 pounds to the purchase price. I suggest spending 10 quid more than that and ten minutes of your time to replace it with this unit: http://www.ebuyer.com/product/135514 Also, if you have the money, I'd suggest getting one of the Gigabyte boards instead of the Asrock. Better yet, save some money and build the computer yourself. It isn't hard at all, and we can lead you through picking out good components. One thing: you don't need a Radeon 4890 to play the game you're looking at. A 4670 should be more than sufficient; plus you could get away with just a Corsair VX550W instead of the 650W: http://www.scan.co.uk/Products/550w-...anty-see-specs

Re: Is this computer good?
Vital is an understatement. All of the hardware depends on the PSU. Low quality/underpowered PSU =early hardware failure.
