First Time Builder

I already bought my parts from newegg.com that were from a combo deal. It only came with the case, mobo, cpu, and memory. I don't have the money for a new hard drive or a dvd drive. I do, however, have an external usb hard drive that I don't use much so I was thinking maybe I could use that. I have heard it would be slow as hell to install an os on it, but what would be the best way to go about doing this?

Re: First Time Builder

I would suggest waiting until you have the funds to purchase an internal Hdd. Running an OS from an external drive "can" work but is not recommended.

Re: First Time Builder

It seems as though my power supply isn't hooked up correctly. Is there a good guide on how to hook a power supply to a mobo?
