Re: New case for Dell dimension 2350
Hi!
ATX PSU is simply the type of Power Supply Unit (PSU) that you will need for your ATX motherboard. In short, it is just saying that the case does not come with a power supply and you have to purchase it seperately. The case you are looking at supports ATX and mATX motherboards. This refers to the actual size or footprint of the motherboard. mATX = Micro ATX. Thanks! |

Re: New case for Dell dimension 2350
Hi ....
Yes, that is correct. ATX defines a power supply type. There used to be AT power supplies which had different P8 and P9 connectors that only went with AT motherboards. So, basically, any ATX PSU will connect to any type of ATX motherboard be it mATX, ATX, FULL ATX, and Extended ATX and so on. Actually, since you are switching cases, you can use the one out of your old case as long as it is not a "specially sized" PSU. Or as long as you do not exceed the rating of your old PSU (wattage) by adding a bunch of stuff to the new tower. Thanks! |

Re: New case for Dell dimension 2350
That case is very cheaply constructed.
This CoolerMaster $40 free shipping http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16811119195 Or either of these Antecs $50 & $55 free shipping http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16811129069 The above are well constructed cases with good airflow.
