Need help with computer build

Hi guys, I joined a while back and never got the time to make any real decision even with the advice you all gave.

I'm trying to build a mid-level gaming computer, though gaming will not be the primary purpose. I already have an 80g harddrive at home, though I'm not sure if it will fit. Forgot to mention, I'm not planning on doing any overclocking or anything like that, just using everything how it is.

Could you guys tell me if all these parts are compatible and if they will serve the purpose i intend for them to?

Also, I have picked out most of the parts with the exception of power supply and RAM.

Here's my plan so far:

Case:
XION XION II Series XON-111 Black with Green LED Light Steel ATX Mid Tower
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16811208029
$59.99 ($49.99 after mail-in rebate)

Optical Drive:
SAMSUNG Black 22X DVD+R 8X DVD+RW 16X DVD-ROM 48X CD-ROM 2MB Cache SATA CD/DVD Burner
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16827151192
$28.99

Motherboard:
GIGABYTE GA-P55-UD3R LGA 1156 Intel P55 ATX Intel Motherboard
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16813128401
$139.99

CPU:
Intel Core 2 Duo E7400 Wolfdale 2.8GHz 3MB L2 Cache LGA 775 65W Dual-Core Processor
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16819115206
$118.99

Graphics card:
MSI N250GTS-2D512-OCv2 GeForce GTS 250 512MB 256-bit GDDR3 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready SLI Supported Video Card
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814127423
$124.99 ($114.99 after $10.00 Mail-In Rebate)

Power Supply:
NONE, can someone help me find one that will have enough power for my gaming purposes for a good price?

RAM:
NONE, can someone help me find good quality, well priced, dual channel DDR3 ram that will be compatible with the motherboard?

If I'm forgetting anything, let me know.

Thanks everyone

Re: Need help with computer build

First off, the motherboard and cpu are different sockets and aren't going to be working
together. You'll need to decide which way you want to go, socket 1156 like the
motherboard or socket 775 like the cpu. We can't look at ram until you decide that.
For a psu, the GTS250 should have, at a minimum, a quality 650watt supply.
The Corsair TX650 is about as good as it gets in that power range, for price/performance.
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16817139005
The 750 is the same price after a rebate, well worth getting more, in case you go for
more of a video card at some future point.

Re: Need help with computer build

ok, i decided to change the motherboard, since i5 is a little too expensive.

is this a good motherboard for the purposes i need?

GIGABYTE GA-EP45-DS4P LGA 775 Intel P45 ATX Intel Motherboard
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16813128346

what power supply will i need with this motherboard?

if anybody has any better suggestions for the same price or lower, I'd appreciate if you could tell me and could you also list the recommended power supply for it? I'm looking for it to have good onboard audio but not onboard graphics.

thanks again everyone, i really appreciate it

Re: Need help with computer build

hey guys, thanks for all your help!

I just happened to find 2 GB of this that I bought a while ago and forgot about:

RAM:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...-177-_-Product

I must have forgotten about it, but this is a very nice discovery! Now the only thing I need to find is a motherboard compatible with it, a power supply, and I'm done!

Can anyone help me find these two things?

Once again, I really appreciate everything you all are doing for me.

Re: Need help with computer build

That is indeed very nice ram.
Any of the boards that Tyree linked to will work. Personally I'd pick the Asus P5Q Pro Turbo. The price makes it the best deal of the three Asus boards in that link.

For a psu, you need at least 650 watts for the GTS250, but with the Corsair TX750 having the same price as their 650, though it's an after rebate price, you would be better off getting the larger, for headroom and future upgrades.
