Is this good for gaming with quality and smoothness
Ok, so this is my rig atm:
Corsair 550W PSU ATI Radeon X1650 1x2 Gigs of RAM Core 2 Duo E7500 Ok, so I have already been told that the Video Card is the weak link in my system but If i got a GTS 250, will my system be able to run games such as Team Fortress 2 and WoW on High with smoothness? Because right now when I play these games, I can feel that its not 100% smooth. Is that at all because of Video Card or could it be the CPU? And also, will my PSU be able to support the GTS 250 for a month or two ? Thanks |

Re: Is this good for gaming with quality and smoothness
If you got the GTS 250 you would need to upgrade your PSU. 600W minimum.
And yes, it seems as though it is your card that is slowing these down as your processor should handle them just find at almost 3ghz. Last edited by Rataru101; 10-16-2009 at 09:43 PM. |

Re: Is this good for gaming with quality and smoothness
Agreed that the graphics card is the bottleneck. Now, the GTS250 might run on your current PSU as it's a very high quality 550W, but I would strongly recommend upgrading to an equal 650W for best stability and lifetime.
