Question what should i do?

here's my present system: intel pentium d 820@2.8GHz-gigabyte p35-gs3-2x1g kingston @ 800MHz (with 4-4-4-12)-ge force 8600 gts-power supply: 530w (don't remember info about that)
i use my pc mostly for gaming so i decided making some improvements
here's what im thinking:
intel core 2 duo E8400 @ 3GHz
2x2g corsair @ 1066MHz (with 5-5-5-15)
also adding an ati 4890 gpu
my first concern is about ram: should i take these i wrote above or just get another 2x1g kingston i already have?also i would like to tell me what u think about my cpu-gpu choises and/or make another sugestion about them.thanks

Re: what should i do?

You will need a bigger PSU for the 4890.
A 4890 requires a minimum 500w so you will want a 650W or better.
Seasonic and Corsair are quality units.
The matched pair of RAM is the better choice. Filling all the RAM slots on a Mobo can cause Voltage issues.

Re: what should i do?

Looks good to me.
Yes you could get another 2x1gb kingston but you will have to make sure the pair match and the motherboard you buy has 4 memory slots
Also you might need to get a new power supply as well, preferably a 600-700w

Re: what should i do?

The OP has a gigabyte p35-gs3 Mobo. It has 4 RAM slots but filling all of the RAM slots on a Mobo is not recommended because of possible Voltage issues.
Replacing the 2 X 1 sticks would be a better solution to the upgrade and offer better performance.
