Parts Fit

Hi I've been working on this build forever and doing a lot of research on compatability issues with components and what not. See, I've never built a computer and am kind of nervous. I'm going to list my build and I hope someone can tell me if everything is compatible and if I could get better components and lower prices than by all means, SAY SOMETHING lol.

Case - Yikes this has been a tough call for me and I really love the look of this case

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16811156078

Motherboard - This component has driven me nuts and I hope to god I picked one thats compatible with the case. Looks good and cheap, no need for onboard graphics

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...GA-MA790X-UD4P

CPU - - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16819103674 Is this a good CPU for multitasking and gaming?

Video Card - Video Card - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814150359 Is this a good video card? I plan on using this mainly for gaming on games like Crysis and Fallout 3.

RAM - argghh! Can someone please tell me the best type of RAM i can get thats compatible with the Mobo? Only 4gb of needed, I just need advice on what brand of RAM

Hard Drive - WD Caviar Black 640gb

Power Supply - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16817139006

Optical Drive - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16827106328

CPU cooler - Could someone suggest a really good one that I can overclock with =) I really want to mess around with overclocking with this pc

SO is everything compatible so far? Do you have any suggestions I can improve upon the build?

I think those are all the components that I need to build a pc...I feel like I, left out something...Please correct me If I did.

Oh I almost forgot to ask this. What kind of screwdriver do I need for assembling the PC? Also do I need to buy anything extra like cables or connectors? I'm kind of lost because people are talking about SATA cables and other connectors, pins lol its All so new to me =)

Also which fans are good to replace the stock fans with in the case? So far is all this compatible and will my case be able to hold that Video Card?

Re: Parts Fit

I've found Raidmax cases to be flimsy and poorly constructed. Coolermaster and Antec make solid cases with good cooling capabilities.
I'm not a fan of anything XFX. Sapphire and PowerColor are good ATI chippd cards.
A small Phillips tip screwdriver should be all the tools you need. Some zip ties are handy for making things tidy.
Al the cables will come with the Mobo.

Re: Parts Fit

Well i've read all the reviews on the case and people says its pretty sturdy and has good airflow, I just really like the green LED's and Fans arent a problem to install ( Stock fans in case blow ) Well you guys have been a tremondous help =) Going to order my parts now. One last questions Tyree, XFX is a bad card company? All the reviews looked good and I dont much about sapphire and never heard of powercolor. Please elaborate =)

Re: Parts Fit

XFX support is bad, Rma's(if you should have to return it take a while). Sapphire is one of the oldest ati card manufacturers good support and good cards. I try to use Sapphire for ATI cards and EVGA for Nvidia cards.

Antec Tricool for fans> http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16835209012

I've never used that case so I'm not sure if the green lights are in the fans or not.

Re: Parts Fit

XFX has very poor support.
The lights are built into the fan.
Good case selection post from wrench97.

Re: Parts Fit

If you want a mid tower the Antec 900 is quite good, and if you want something with all the room but no fancy lights, the Antec 300 is nice as well.
