How is this?

http://secure.newegg.com/WishList/Pu...umber=16048927

I'm trying to get good parts, while maintaining low price as possible, and trying to spend $1500 max.

Re: How is this?

seems ok to me although I would change the ram to corsair and up the wattage but stay with corsair for the PSU.

The rest of the components seem fine and that cpu will overclock well if you plan on doing it.

Re: How is this?

Change the IDE DVDRW to an SATA model. LG or Lite-On.

You wont need a better PSU but I would look at a better cpu cooler Thermalright Ultra120 or Tuniq Tower 120 should do you better.

Now I have to warn you the tuniq tower is very big and can be a pain to install (I have one) but it will do the business when it comes to overclocking you will need to make sure that it will fit in your case.

I have an antec 1200 and the tuniq tower is about an inch of hitting the side of the case. I am not sure of the dimensions of the Antec 900 but I think its the same width as the 1200 so you should be ok.

Re: How is this?

The Corsair TX750W should manage a fairly substantial CPU overclock, and the the E8500 can get up to 4.0GHz on high-end air cooling (with the AFP7 you'll be looking at ~3.6GHz or so). For a better CPU cooler I would recommend the Zalman 9700, 9900, or Thermaltake V1.

Re: How is this?

Any of those coolers would be a good choice.

All cpus are different so you may or may not be able to get to 4GHz its all about experimenting.
