Re: Build for a friend.

Big list of problems there,
Corsair does not list recommended ram for that board> http://www.corsair.com/configurator/default.aspx
But with DDR3 and all the issues that's not uncommon, ram can be hit or miss at the moment with DDR3 there are a lot of problems currently.
MSI is not a favorite of mine I use Gigabyte or Asus.> http://www.ebuyer.com/product/171664
The Power Supply is simply too small to power a GTS250 properly or for very long.
At least a quality 650w is needed like the Corsair 650TX > http://www.ebuyer.com/product/135514
The WD Black drives are faster and have a longer warranty then the Blue drives.

Re: Build for a friend.

You really need at least 650w power supply for a GTS250, a quality 550w at a bare minimum. I recommend the Corsair tx650w or a comparable SeaSonic or PC Power and Cooling unit. Everything Wrench said is true.

Re: Build for a friend.

Thanks for the quick feedback.

I have a quick question, how much of a difference will it make to buying a Dvd drive that has IDE connection instead of a Sata connection?

Re: Build for a friend.

SATA & IDE optical drives are nearly identical in price. Go with SATA.

Re: Build for a friend.

Like mentioned twice 400w or that 450w isn't enough to power those components. You get what you pay for

Also try sticking to one retailer
