Re: Complete computer

Well to be honest it all depends on what kind of computer you want it to be. but ads for the basic hardware it is.

Motherboard, cpu, ram, hard drive, Power supply, fans, computer case (make sure your cables come with, Sata, Ect...)

Your video card and sound card might already be on your mother board it just depends which one you buy and what you are using your pc for.

those are the basics

Remebr your going to need a monitor, keyboard and mouse....cd/dvd drive and usb ports.

What is your experience with building a pc?

anymore questions?

Re: Complete computer

Looks like you have everything covered. But note that the retail boxed CPU's come with a factory heat sink and fan which will be fully serviceable unless you are planning to overclock.

Re: Complete computer

If you are going to overclock then you will need an aftermarket cpu cooler. The stock coolers can be used in overclocking but are really meant to cool the cpu at stock speeds.

Re: Complete computer

If you are going to overclock the cpu then you will need an aftermarket cpu fan.

I have an pre overclocked gtx260 graphics card and I havent needed a fan for it. So you wont need one for that but deffinetly for the cpu.
