Nub looking to build

Here's the deal. I decided that my laptop is not going to survive the rigors of college and such, seeing as I am in engineering and will have to put some programs such as AutoCad, Catia, SolidWorks, etc. on my computer, not to mention that I want to be able to play excellent graphics on newer games. My budget is under $800, and I did some browsing through Newegg. I guess I am asking whether or not I have everything, if it all looks good, or if I have compatibility issues. It would be great if you could cut some of the cost and keep high performance, but whatever. I'm not including keyboard, mouse, and monitor in the cost.

Re: Nub looking to build

you need to be going for a btter power supply. The power supply is the most single important piece of a computer build. If you get a bad brand (like the one you have chosen) or a low wattage one you risk destroying your pc. I recommend any seasonic and corsair HX or TX series

Re: Nub looking to build

Personally, I would be looking at a better Mobo, Ram and definitely the PSU.
Take a look at this thread for some ideas. Asus & Gigabyte are quality Mobos.

Re: Nub looking to build

Go with this Gigabyte mothboard, better and popular.

You'll have to go with DDR2 RAM due to mothboard DDR3 is not great anyway.

Also go with a quality brand psu.
