My New Build... can you guys check this over for me?
I'm in the process of partially rebuilding my machine. I have several parts already, but I'll list what the completed machine will have.
Point out any faults, incompatibilities, etc. This is meant to be a high end gaming computer. My budget is $500 USD. (* = Parts I'm going to order. Anything without an asterisk I already own) *-EVGA nForce 790i Ultra SLI Motherboard *-EVGA GeForce 9800 GTX Video Card - 512MB GDDR3, PCI Express 2.0 *-Corsair TX750W 750-Watt Power Supply -OCZ SLI-Ready Dual Channel 4096MB PC6400 DDR2 800MHz Memory -Intel Core 2 Duo E7400 Processor - 2.80GHz, 3MB Cache, 1066MHz FSB, Wolfdale-3M The parts I'm going to order total up to $404.97 with S/H which is inside my budget. I also have a Thermal Take Ruby Orb CPU heatsink/fan. I have two HDD's that I'll transplant. This will all be housed inside of a Cooler Master 932 HAF Full Tower. Any objections, tips, advice, flames? Thanks very much to anyone who helps out. |

Re: My New Build... can you guys check this over for me?
The 7xxi series is really buggy(Memory issues, DOA's, overheating MCP, ETC) you would be better off using an Intel chip set like the P45 with an Intel CPU.
