Built New Computer. Now Its Freezing.

I have a laptop for college but I wanted to bring a desktop with me as well for music, movies, and a little gaming. A friend from work said he would help me order the parts and put it together and now its working but it keeps freezing. At first I was having Issues with it registering my 750g hard drive. I took me a day to realize it was only registering it as 130g but in that day it was also locking up and freezing. Sometimes I would just be on the internet or sometimes it would freeze during my Screen Saver (my pictures sideshow). We fixed the hard drive issue by realizing the version of xp home we were trying to load doesn't register anything larger than 130g. I am now running XP Pro with sp3 and my computer has once again started locking up. my friend who first helped me build it Suggested i test the RAM. i have four 1g sticks so i took two out at a time but it locked up both times so unless i have two bad sticks I think i can almost rule that out. I installed all the drivers that came with it and i guess i can look to see if those are the latest but I'm thinking it might be a hardware issue but its hard to tell because everything is brand new. I'll post a list of what I bought and let me know if you got any ideas.

Biostar TFORCE TA780G M2+ Mother Board
Sparkle SX94GT512D2L-NM Graphics Card
Rosewil RP500-2 Power Supply
All Components AC2/800X64/2048-kit RAM x4
Westerd Digital WD7500AADS Hard Drive

We ordered everything from New Egg if that matters to anyone but let me know any ideas. In the mean time i'm gonna try all the RAM and run my slideshow SS. That tends to do the trick within 10 min if its gonna lock up or not

Rosewill PSU's are pretty much junk and can take out other hardware when they fail (i.e. CPU/Mobo). Filling all of the RAM slots on a Mobo can cause voltage issues.

Re: Built New Computer. Now Its Freezing.

I too would guess that maybe the Rosewill is the cause of your issue. They are a good paperweight, but not much in the way of a power supply. Does anyone in your dorm have a decent power supply they can let you try in there?
