so i just put together a new computer because my old one was...well...OLD, and im having a problem (go figure?).
specs: Mobo: Foxconn 648X7MF-S SiS 648FX Socket 775 CPU: Intel Celeron D 347 3.06GHz LGA775 RAM: pqi POWER Series 512MB 184-Pin DDR SDRAM DDR 400 (PC 3200) Video: NVIDIA GeForce 6200 DDR 256MB AGP Problem: Okay I'll bet that this is a common problem but i hate spending hours looking all over the internet to try and find an answer. So i set up my computer turned it on and got nothing on the monitor. Power is good to the fan and CD-ROM. no response from the monitor. video card is good, i checked it in my other computer. also tried another card. same result. i have switched the RAM out to no avail. power supply is good, hence power to everything else. CPU is new out of the box, as is the Mobo. The first stick of RAM was new as well. Any suggestions? |

Re: [SOLVED] Things never go as planned...
Do you have the 20 pin and the 4 pin CPU power plugs hooked up?
Providing you have`a motherboard or case speaker hooked does it beep continuously if you attempt to boot with all the ram removed? Another issue the board supports Prescott core 90nm cpu's the Celeron D 347 is a 65nm Cedar Mill core, And the 347D is not on the support list > http://www.foxconnsupport.com/cpusup...7MF-S&cputype= |

Re: [SOLVED] Things never go as planned...
so then that CPU would definitely not work with that motherboard?
i did all the checks, and i tried to get the sys speaker to beep but no luck Last edited by Saintrocker; 07-16-2009 at 06:50 PM. |

Re: [SOLVED] Things never go as planned...
That is one of the shortest CPU support lists I've seen in a long time, I would think not there are only older 90nm cpu's listed on it.
