Re: HELP! Will this run these games?

I'd say get a Corsair 850tx instead of the Coolermaster PSU. It's 64 bit Vista, not 62. Otherwise... Why are you even asking? That'll run anything currently on the market as high as it can take.

I'm guessing this is a prebuilt unit?
Pretty high mark up, do they mention the brand of video card, Nvidia just makes the chips.

Re: HELP! Will this run these games?

for that kind of money you should be getting the AMD Deneb core ...945 or 955

and I personally would prefer the 790FX gigabyte motherboard

BTW: the coolermaster real power pro is a very high quality power supply ....... of equal quality with the corsair

It is a premade in so many words, from ibuypower.

The PSU was my main concern though there is other options.

The 62bit was a typo on my part :) .

$2000 was my top end price, and this is about $1700 with whats listed there plus some addins.

I've never built my own computer the most i've ever done is upgrade my own computer (GPU/RAM/DVDDrive/PSU) and i don't really know anything about the wireing / glues / airflow etc. or i would attempt to build my PC myself.

For MMO's like warhammer/AoC would a SSD drive be better second drive due to the faster load of scenery(sp?) inbetween instances? (difference of 30seconds --> 10seconds?)

Re: HELP! Will this run these games?

This will give you an Idea of what it costs to build, the hard drives are larger and the CPU is faster. The new LG burners seem to be troublesome, and of course from Ibuypower there is a system warranty this way there are component warranties.

Re: HELP! Will this run these games?

http://img23.imageshack.us/img23/4057/neweggprices.jpg

Thats what i came up with for a self-build this is in Canadian dollars (i'm a canuck )

Now serious question... how difficult is it to build your first computer? and if i was to build my own computer, do i need to order addition cables/glue/etc. ?

Thanks for all the help you've provided so far!

Re: HELP! Will this run these games?

The cables will come with the motherboard, it is not hard to build if you have changed video cards, PSU's and drives before you can move right up to building.

Swap the IDE DVD drive to a Sata Model and the 5400 RPM hard drive for a faster 7200 rpm Sata unit.

No glue is required.

What size monitor are you using? With the GTX295 If you are using less then 24"-26" you will not see a lot of difference from GTX285.

Re: HELP! Will this run these games?

build it! but don't skimp on your PSU. since you're using it for gaming double check the case layout and MB layout to make sure the designers didn't do something stupid like put your PCIe slots in line with your SATA cables plugs or drive cages. gaming graphics cards are huge.
