The same as everyone: Will this configuration work?

Hi there,

I would like to build myself a new gaming computer. I'm also a developer but i figured "if it runs games, it will run VC++" so i'll focus on the gaming part.

My current config is:
  • Case - Antec 300
  • Harddrive - WD 1TB
  • CPU - Intel i7 920
  • MB - ASUS P6T SE X58
  • GPU - SAPPHIRE 4870 1G
  • Power - CORSAIR 750W TX
  • Memory - Kingston 4G PC6400

I'm no hardware expert so I was hopping you guys could tell me if this board is a good solution for this build. I'm still pretty undecided on the GPU, Power supply and MB so any input would be great.

Foe an i7 build, it looks fine. I would go with a different brand of RAM. CorsairXMX,G.Skill. Mushkin are good brands.

You also want DDR3 not DDR2 PC6400, the i7 uses Tri-Channel ram so 3 sticks of DDR3 1333 or 1600.
