first build, 5.6 rating
Just finished my first build heres what vista rated me :5.6
proccesor 5.6 memory 5.9 Graphics 5.9 gaming graphics 5.9 Hard Drive 5.9 Specs: Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-EP45-UD3P Processor: Intel E8500 Wolfdale Ram: Corsair 4gb (2x2gb) ddr2 1066 CPU Cooler: Zalman 9700 Power Supply: Corsair 750TX Video Card: Sapphire HD4870 1 gb Hard Drive: WD 640gb DVD Burner: Sony Black Operating System: Vista Ultimate My temps are 32 idle 40-50 with medium loads Thanks so much for the help....now to OC! |

If one is going to overclock, then an aftermarket cooler is appropriate to keep the rig cool as overclocking causes heat.
Therefore, if you do not have plans on overclocking, then the stock heatsink/fan will keep your rig just fine in the temperature area in most cases.

All retail CPU's come with a heatsink fan assembly that is will cool the CPU sufficiently and will allow a good margin of OC. If the OC is done properly and the case has good air movement, the stock unit will handle more.
