New build, need help picking RAM

This is my second time building a computer and after looking through parts for the past couple of days I've selected these so far:

Processor: Intel Core 2 Quad Q9550 Yorkfield 2.83GHz LGA 775 95W Quad-Core Processor Model BX80569Q9550 - Retail
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16819115041

Motherboard: GIGABYTE GA-EP45-UD3P LGA 775 Intel P45 ATX Intel Motherboard - Retail
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16813128358

Video Card: EVGA 896-P3-1257-AR GeForce GTX 260 Core 216 Superclocked Edition 896MB 448-bit GDDR3 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready SLI Supported Video Card - Retail
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814130433

Power Supply: CORSAIR CMPSU-750TX 750W ATX12V / EPS12V SLI Ready CrossFire Ready 80 PLUS Certified Active PFC Compatible with Core i7 Power Supply - Retail
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16817139006

Optical Drive: I originally picked out this http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16827118030
but it looks like it won't be in stock again soon so I'll probably have to change it. It looks like almost every other decent drive on newegg is out of stock for now as well, what the hell?..

Hard Drive: already have it

Running Windows XP

I'm going to be buying my my case and RAM at a local store. I'm not going to order my RAM since I don't want to risk having to RMA a dead set again. I'd rather be able to go to the store and exchange instead of paying shipping and waiting a week.

Right now I'm having trouble picking which set of RAM to get. I'm looking to get 4 GB and here are my options (the second link is the item on the website for the store I'm going to be buying from):

OCZ SLI-Ready Edition 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 800 (PC2 6400) Dual Channel Kit Desktop Memory Model
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820227269
http://www.centralcomputers.com/comm...moczsr2gbr.htm [$45.99] (sale ends on the 7th)

OCZ Blade Series 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 800 (PC2 6400) Desktop Memory
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820227420
http://www.centralcomputers.com/comm...=1246909415875 [$59.95]

OCZ Platinum 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 1066 (PC2 8500) Dual Channel Kit Desktop Memory
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820227298
http://www.centralcomputers.com/comm...=1246909451718 [$69.95]

OCZ Blade Series 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 1066 (PC2 8500) Desktop Memory
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820227419
http://www.centralcomputers.com/comm...moczd24g3r.htm [$69.95]

CORSAIR XMS2 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 800 (PC2 6400) Dual Channel Kit Desktop Memory
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820145176
http://www.centralcomputers.com/comm...mcor40961r.htm [$85.95]

CORSAIR DOMINATOR 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 1066 (PC2 8500) Dual Channel Kit Desktop Memory
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820145214
http://www.centralcomputers.com/comm...mcor40966r.htm [$99.95]

Which of these would be a good choice for my build?

Also, recommendations for cases and input on the other parts I've picked out would be helpful as well, thanks!

Re: New build, need help picking RAM

I would go for this
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820227420
Only because the timings are faster...

Re: New build, need help picking RAM

Since we're discussing RAM, how much difference is there between a 2GB stick of 800MHz DDR2 CL4 RAM and a 2GB stick of 1066 MHz DDR2 CL5 RAM? What is faster? Will it be noticeable in gaming? Is it worth the extra 20 euro at the store I will be buying it?

Cheers

Re: New build, need help picking RAM

Go with the DR2800. A matched pair of 2X1GB sticks will perform better than a single 2GB stick.

Re: New build, need help picking RAM

The 1066MHz RAM will be slightly faster, but not noticeable enough when gaming. You could overclock the 800MHz RAM, but it still wouldn't make much difference for games. And as Tyree says, a matched pair will always outperform a single stick.
