Upgrading old PC
Hi all,
Need a little bit of help here, wondering whether its possible to upgrade my Packard Bell 5053 (imedia i think) to a relatively good gaming pc. Would i be able to do this with just a few parts or would replacing the whole PC make more sense? Here are the Specs that i know of - 2.00ghz celeron processor - 738mb DDR RAM - 160gb 7200rpm SATA HDD As i said i dont know much about the rest of it but i know its rubbish haha. Basically what i was hoping i could do was to upgrade in steps eventually replacing the whole pc with modern parts. Would this be possible and if so could you write me a rough order of which parts to replace first. Thanks Chris |

Re: Upgrading old PC
Can you make a respectable gaming PC with that herdware, no.
Would replacing the PC make more sense, yes. The Hdd could be salvaged.

Re: Upgrading old PC
Ok thanks.
Could i replace parts at different times making it better? e.g Replace motherboard and CPU one week then another part the next week making all the parts brand new after a few months. |
