How good will my hardware need to be...

Ok so the plan is to record live content from 3 x 5 megapixel cameras at the same time, continuously over hours WITHOUT ANY glitches... and I'm wondering how I would calculate the necessary hardware to do this?

I'm wondering also how much this is over the top, or lacking, or which parts need to be upgraded or are unnecessary:
Dual 2.0GHz 64-bit quad cores(E5504), 24GB DDR3 RAM (vista), 4 x 1.5TB SATA disks in RAID 10 array, and dual 512MB PCIex16 nVidia Quadros

Question Re: How good will my hardware need to be...

Hi griknok,

You may or may not know that THEY say "As soon as you build a machine, it's out of date".. And, well, to be fair, thats about right. But with regard to this little rig, it'll be a while before you'll need to do anything about it.. I do however have a concern..

... Is this a correct figure bud?
