Re: help wanted

DDR2 PC6400 RAM would be fine.
I'm unsure about the quality of the new Plextors optical drives. The last series, after they stopped producing their own drives, were a BIG disappointment.
LG and Lite-On are very good units.

Re: help wanted

The second set of links don't work for me, so I don't know if you changed anything. While a 700 watt power supply is strong enough, there have been some issues with the OCZ power supplies and fluxuation stability. I would much prefer a Corsair 650 or 750 to the 700 watt OCZ if this were my build.

I'm not up my AMD stuff but I read somewhere, can't find it now, that DDR2 1066 is the new standard for the AMD CPU's. Someone correct me if I am wrong!

Re: help wanted

You will never regret getting that PSU in place of the OCZ.

Not to get off topic here, but if you browse through the link below, it will help you to understand what a well-put together unit looks like as put together by one of our excellent moderators. I might be good to review before you get too far:

Re: help wanted

i could see the evga but the other link didnt work it seems that newegg is not good for their link copying i did like the evga not only for the free COD but for the specs. though i would like to know why you suggest this card over other cards for curiosities sake alone.

Re: help wanted

Let's try again with that link, because this card is worthy of you considering and it is the ATI type card. Some prefer the ATI and some prefer the Nvidia cards, kind of like some like Ford and some like Chevy.

Here is the skinny, I always have preferred the ATI type cards, but am presently using for my two personal computers Nvidia graphics cards at the present time. Shoot, like I said, both are great. Anyhow, enough of the commercials, here is the link:

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814102801

Dare to compare before you choose..... and these are certainly not the only options out there for you. Someone else on the forum might have you look at other cards that they prefer. Hope this helps.

AMD Phenoms are 1066 standard now for their FSB speeds.
