Please help me build a gaming Laptop.

I have $1,600 possibly $1,700 to spend on a laptop for college. So of course I need a laptop that can play the top notch games, and will be able to play the best games for a while. I have never had a laptop or a super nice gaming computer so please help me build one. It doesn't matter what brand, I just need the best I can get for that money. Thanks!

Laptop and Gaming really don't go together. Any quality laptop will play games but they can't give you gaming performance.
Intensive graphics require a high quality Graphics card which in turn requires a powerful/high quality power supply. That just doesn't fit in a small package.

Re: Please help me build a gaming Laptop.

They make gaming laptops , with high end cpu's , videocards ect....

But these are the worst laptops to buy. They are way to expensive for there specs , compared to an equal power desktop. The parts run very hot and typically overheat and burn up. They get outmoded very quickly , and since it's a laptop it's bones can't be upgraded to keep up with the times.

Here's my suggestion , and it's good. Buy a cheap laptop , or a used one. Use it for all your classes or whatever it is you need it for. A cheap or used laptop will only be 500$ or so. Then use the rest of your money and buy a desktop for a gaming machine. The desktop will be more powerful , run cooler , and be much more upgradeable in the future.

And if the laptop stops working or is broken or stolen , it won't be money lost and you'll have a second computer to fall back on.
