that system will work nicely. However, I would use DDR2 800 ram instead of the one you have listed, and use the extra money to upgrade to the 8500 processor. You will see a much larger increase in performance with the better processor vs. the faster ram.

you wont really notice the difference in performance with the faster ram, unless you plan on overclocking. In fact, some motherboards wont even run the ram at 1066 unless you overclock the system. If you are on a budget, get the slower ram and upgrade the processor. The 8400 is great, but many find the 8500 easier to overclock. Its nothing to get that processor to run at 4 ghz
