Re: need help

650 is doo-able. I assume no monitor and no keyboard?

Please keep in mind the Os is $100 alone.

Re: need help

My best advice, stay away from Tiger Direct. There business practices leave a lot to be desired. Look at the same items on Newegg. You might spend a few dollars more (I didn't check) but you WILL get the exact item you order and if you have any problems you can be sure you will get excellent customer service.
You could use Windows 7 and save $100.
PC6400 RAM will be fine.
Spend a few dollars more on a better DVDRW LG or Lite-On.

@Tyree

He listed a budget, I followed it. Theres little to no upgrades that can make it better while staying under 650.

Its called a budget for a reason.

Its called a budget for a reason.
That's why I suggested saving $100 on the OS and suggested the OP go to a reliable online dealer.
It seems wrench97 has found setup within the posted budget and from a reliable source.
Here's one more that comes to $646 and there are a couple of rebates.
