Re: is it possible to build a laptop

It's possible but it's closer to buying a laptop without a cpu and drives than actually building a laptop.
In my opinion your better off buying it complete.

Re: is it possible to build a laptop

Very possible--NOT practical.
Dell's are very good and affordable laptops.
Lenovo's for top quality
Acer is also making some nice affordable units.

Re: is it possible to build a laptop

I've build several for customers, contrary to my suggestions to purchase a prebuilt, but it is not cost effective.
Parts are not as available in the retail market and they are very difficult, for the novice, to assemble.
